WST 1.3 Release

We are pleased to announce the release of WST 1.3. WST is a collection of software tools that integrate water distribution network simulation and optimization to support the design of contamination warning systems and response action plans.

WST 1.3 includes new capabilities to run the flushing module in parallel.

WST 1.2 Release

WST 1.2 Release

We are pleased to announce the release of WST 1.2. WST is a collection of software tools that integrate water distribution network simulation and optimization to support the design of contamination warning systems and response action plans.

WST 1.2 expands the capabilities of WST with the following features:

  • Added the EPANET_BTX and CSA libraries for source inversion
  • Expanded booster_mip to include the PD metric
  • Added the network local search solver to booster_msx
  • Efficiency improvements to the flushing component (bundling simulation scenarios)
  • Expanded support for result visualization
  • A prototype build harness based on CMake
  • Numerous bug fixes

We are pleased to announce the release of WST 1.1.1. WST is a collection of software tools that integrate water distribution network simulation and optimization to support the design of contamination warning systems and response action plans.

This is a "patch" release updating WST 1.1 to resolve issues some users have encountered with the PyEPANET interface to the EPANET DLL on Windows platforms.

WST 1.1 Release

We are pleased to announce the release of WST 1.1. WST is a collection of software tools that integrate water distribution network simulation and optimization to support the design of contamination warning systems and response action plans. WST 1.1 is the first public WST release and extends and subsumes the development of the Threat Ensemble Vulnerability Assessment and Sensor Placement Optimization Tool (TEVA-SPOT).

Highlights for this release include:

  • Optimization-based models for developing flushing response plans
  • Optimization-based models for siting disinfectant booster stations
  • Optimization and statistical methods for source inversion
  • Optimization-based approaches for manual sampling to refine source inversion estimates
