WST 1.1 Release

We are pleased to announce the release of WST 1.1. WST is a collection of software tools that integrate water distribution network simulation and optimization to support the design of contamination warning systems and response action plans. WST 1.1 is the first public WST release and extends and subsumes the development of the Threat Ensemble Vulnerability Assessment and Sensor Placement Optimization Tool (TEVA-SPOT).

Highlights for this release include:

  • Optimization-based models for developing flushing response plans
  • Optimization-based models for siting disinfectant booster stations
  • Optimization and statistical methods for source inversion
  • Optimization-based approaches for manual sampling to refine source inversion estimates

See the Documentation page for installation options and documentation for getting started with WST. Binary builds of WST are available in the Downloads area for Windows as self-configuring ZIP files.
